“Repent.” (Matt 4:17.) We must heed this injunction of Christ carefully, radically amend our inner life and our concept of the world; our attitude towards people and every phenomenon in the creature world; not slay our enemies but win them over with love. We must remember that there is no absolute evil. Only un-originate Goodness is Absolute. And this Goodness commanded us, “Love your enemies….” Being slain for the sake of one’s brethren is the best possible weapon for delivering them from servitude to the transducer, the devil, and preparing their souls to accept God, Who desires the salvation of all. When Jesus asked a certain lawyer how he interpreted the law, the answer came, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength and with all thy mind’ (Luke 10:27.) To acquire prayer is to acquire eternity. When the body lies dying, the cry ‘Lord Jesus Christ becomes the garment of the soul; when the brain no longer functions and other prayers are difficult to remember, in the light of the divine knowledge that proceeds from the Name of Jesus Christ our spirit will rise into life incorruptible. Tidings of the salvation of the world are to be found in the Name of Jesus… Prayer in the Name of Jesus gradually unites us with Him.

Repentance is a priceless gift to mankind. Repentance is the God-given miracle that restores us after the Fall – the outpouring of divine inspiration that stimulates us to rise to God, to our Father, for eternal life in the Light of His love… The grace of repentance is given to him who in full faith accepts Christ’s dictum that if we do not believe in His Divinity and the absolute truth of all that He commanded of us, the mystery of sin will not be unmasked to us in its ontological profundity, and we shall ‘die in our sins’ (cf. John 8:21, 24.)

Life giving faith consists in unquestioning belief in Christ as God. Only when Christ is accepted as perfect God and perfect Man does the plentitude of spiritual experience described by the Apostles and Fathers become possible. Christ is now the cornerstone on which we must construct our entire life, both temporal and eternal… Christ, having linked God and man inseparably in Himself, is the one and only solution of the apparently insoluble conflict [of evil in the world]. He is in truth ‘the Savior of the world’ (John 4.42.) He is the measure of all things, human and divine. He is the sole way to the Father. He is the sun which illumines the universe.
